Four people have been hospitalized after a shooting inside a Walmart in Beavercreek on Monday night, according to the Beavercreek Police Department. Police said the shooting unfolded around 8:35 p.m. on Monday at the Walmart at 3360 Pentagon Blvd., when a male walked into the Walmart and began to shoot.Four victims were taken to local hospitals to be treated. At this time, police did not identify any of the victims or provide an update on their conditions.According to police, the male suspect died after an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police did not identify the suspect at this time.Beavercreek is the largest city by population in Greene County, Ohio and is a suburb of Dayton, Ohio.Witnesses who were outside of the Walmart on Monday night said they saw 30 to 40 police cars rushing to the scene. The scene of the shooting is about half a mile from Wright State University.The scene of the shooting is the same place where a Fairfield man was killed in the summer of 2014.At that time, John Crawford, 22, picked up a BB gun that was for sale inside the Walmart and other shoppers called 911, claiming there was an active shooter.Crawford was shot and killed by police inside the store.Surveillance video later showed that Crawford was looking at the toy gun and never pointed it at anybody. The two officers who were involved in that shooting did not face charges.
