Australia Vs Netherlands LIVE: Record five-time World Cup holders Australia will look to cement their place in the top four of the points table as they face a spirited Netherlands unit at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Wednesday. It should be a cracking contest as the Aussies have finally found their mojo after two losses to India and South Africa as they put Sri Lanka and Pakistan to the sword.

The Netherlands on the other hand caused a massive upset when they tamed South Africa but with just one win on the board, they will face a tough challenge against Pat Cummins’ men.

Ahead of the meeting between Australia and their Dutch counterparts, the Kangaroos are in fourth place in the points table while the Oranje are in seventh place.

While both sides have a settled playing XI, Travis Head is the name on everyone’s lips as the opener could make his return having recovered from an injury. Mitchell Marsh, who attended the pre-match press conference said he would give away his spot to Head although the opener didn’t train on Tuesday.

Marsh also touched up on the fact that despite the fact Australia will go into the contest as favourites, they are not taking the Dutch side for granted.

“I think every game from here on is really important for every team that’s in the World Cup. We’ve seen some teams that have lost a couple. And as I said earlier, there’s no easy games in this World Cup. And whoever holds that trophy in a couple of weeks’ time will deserving winners, because every game’s high pressure. It’s a World Cup. You’re playing in front of the amazing Indian fans that are so passionate. And it’s been a great experience. But yeah, every game there’s high pressure and high stakes,” Marsh said.
