Officer Malek says Hager told him that he tried to land the balloon to miss the power lines but ended up getting entangled in the trees.According to Malek, the descent went smoothly until around the last 10 feet when the basket suddenly dropped. Malek says during the drop, Green injured her right ankle and was taken to AnMed Medical Center for treatment. According to Malek, Hager told him that he was fine after the crash.The Federal Aviation Administration cleared for the balloon to be taken down, according to Malek. The balloon was taken down by an Anderson City bucket truck. No further details have been released.
