Kannada Actress Ashika Ranganath Trolled For Not Wishing Diwali To Fans In Mother Tonguenewsbhunt

Ashika Ranganath is one of the rising luminaries in the Kannada cinema. She is known for her amazing acting prowess in films like Madhagaja, Crazy Boy and others. The actress recently courted controversy for wishing her followers on Diwali in English. Kannada social media users were infuriated with the fact that she had wished them Diwali in 2022 in English and not Kannada. They didn’t like the fact that she changed her preference of language this year.

One of the users asked her to not copy Rashmika Mandanna. Rashmika had drawn the ire of Kannada users for not speaking in her mother tongue Kannada. Ashika’s fans and colleagues from the film industry, however, wished her for the Diwali occasion. Ashika looked stunning in a white silk saree with flower imprints. She paired the outfit with a colour-coordinated necklace, rings, and a pendant. “Brightening your feed with early Diwali wishes. Happy Diwali Happy Deepavali!!!.”

Ashika has grown as an actress over time. She talked about it in an interview with the Times of India. The Madhagaja actress said that she is looking forward to doing some quality work now. As per Ashika, she didn’t know initially anything, about how to choose the roles. Ashika said, “I was new to cinema and with my parents not being from a film background either, there was no guidance as such. We all learnt over time. It was only after I played characters that I enjoyed playing, that I realised the need to choose scripts.”

Ashika is now eagerly anticipating the release of her film Naa Saami Ranga directed by Vijay Binni. Nagarjuna Akkineni, Allari Naresh, and Raj Tarun have also acted in this movie. People Media Factory and Srinivasaa Silver Screen have produced this film. This film is currently in the production stage and is expected to be released at the cinema halls in 2024.

Ashika last acted in the movie Amigos written and directed by Rajendra Reddy. It is currently streaming on Netflix. Amigos received mixed reviews from the audience.
