Saikumar-starrer Avatara Purusha 2 Trailer Out, Promises A Laugh Riotnewsbhunt

The upcoming Kannada film Avatara Purusha 2 is slated for theatrical release on April 5. Directed by Suni and produced by Pushkara Mallikarjunaiah, the sequel stars Saikumar, Bhavya, Vijay Chendur, Sudharani, Bhavya, Ayyappa P Sharma and others in important roles.

Yesterday, the makers released the trailer of the film. It generated huge buzz among the audience and received 456,000 views so far and is still counting more. Several social media users have commented on the video. One user wrote, “Truth be told, I was very impressed with Avatar Purush 1 and was waiting for Avatar Purush 2 to release”. Another commented, “Best wishes to you and your team”. “The trailer looks interesting. Good luck”.

Billed as a comedy-drama, Avatara Purusha 2 is about black magic. Initially, the film was planned for release on March 22. With music composed by Arjun Janya, the cinematography of the film is handled by William David.

Avatar Purusha 2 presents viewers with an original storyline. While it maintains some aspects of the previous film, the sequel explores new narrative directions.

Avatara Purusha Part 1, titled Astadigbandanamadalakam, had its theatrical premiere on May 6, 2022. It was both scripted and directed by Suni and produced by Pushkara Mallikarjunaiah for Pushkar Films. The leading roles were played by Sharan and Ashika Ranganath, supported by P Sai Kumar, Bhavya, Balaji Manohar and Srinagar Kitty. Arjun Janya scored the music, while William David was responsible for the cinematography.

The first instalment of Avatara Purusha has earned $2,198 (Rs 1,83,405) worldwide, with all earnings coming from international markets.

On the work front, Saikumar is known for his role in films such as Lucifer, Drishyam 2, Ennu Ninte Moideen and Chakkara Muthu. He has several upcoming projects in his pipeline, including ARI, The Legend, Ram, Varahachakra, Bharathanatyam and Dalamarmarangal. His most recent appearance was in the movie Manasa Vacha.

Meanwhile, Pushkara Mallikarjunaiah shot to fame with films like Kirik Party, Avane Srimannarayana, Thinkalazhcha Nishchayam. Some of his other films include Jeerjimbe, Humble Politician Nograj and Katheyondu Shuruvagide.
